In August, our Senior Policy and Research Officer Ignacia Pinto was quoted in a piece that was published in the Investors’ Chronicle examining the single woman penalty, highlighting how “We know being single has a price to it, and because women earn less on average than men, it’s even higher for them.
Our response to the Prime Minister’s speech in August, in which we urged the Government to invest in public services, was featured in the live politics news blog in the i newspaper.
In her weekly newsletter for the i news paper, housing correspondent Vicky Spratt referenced our work showing that there is not one area in England which could be considered affordable for a single woman to rent or buy a home.
