A Better Start: Reforming Parental Leave and Pay
The Government’s review of parental leave and pay provides a vital opportunity to address longstanding challenges in the current system and build a package that works better for all families. From low levels of maternity, paternity and adoption pay to gaps in support for marginalised families, significant reform is needed to create a more inclusive system that supports children’s early years, enables mothers to remain in work, and enables parents to share care more equally.
Bringing together leading organisations working across gender equality, parental rights, and employment, this event will explore the ambitions for reform and how a phased approach to change can deliver a parental leave system that supports families, workers and businesses over the long term.
