Over the past year, WBG has been working alongside researchers from the Universities of Nottingham and Warwick, using the most robust data available to analyse the impact of the pandemic on working-class women, with an additional project to examine the impact on all women and men in the UK.
We have carried out detailed analyses on topics including keyworking, furloughing, reduced hours, financial security, the division of housework and childcare, home-schooling, flexible working, and the overall effects of the pandemic on workers’ mental wellbeing.
The Women’s Budget Group will also be presenting its findings from its work on public opinion on the government’s response to Covid-19 and the effect of the pandemic on parents across the four nations of the UK.
